Spartans tied for second

Mid-Valley Sports

Corvallis High forged a tie for second place in the Valley League football standings with Thursday's victory over McKay.

The Spartans (5-1) are tied with McNary after the Celtics lost to Sprague on Thursday.

A story and the Valley League standings in Friday's Mid-Valley Sports were incorrect. Mid-Valley Sports regrets the error.

CHS has clinched a winning record for the first time since 1992. The Spartans play at West Albany on Friday.
