CORVALLIS POLICE DEPT.

MONDAY

DUII PLUS — 3:31 a.m. Male, 20, arrested on accusations of driving under the influence of intoxicants — drugs, reckless endangering of a passenger, possessing illegal fireworks, offensive littering, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and being a minor in possession of alcohol. He was stopped on Northwest Tyler Avenue near Kings Boulevard after an officer reportedly saw him drive outside his lane and throw a firecracker out the window. Firecrackers, bottle rockets and other illegal fireworks and a glass marijuana pipe with residue were found in the vehicle. An 18-year-old male passenger also was arrested on an accusation of possessing illegal fireworks.

VANDALISM — 10:58 p.m. Male, 20, cited on an accusation of damaging property after an officer reportedly saw him rip a mailbox off its post in the 1100 block of Northeast Second Street.

SHRUB FIRE — 11:10 p.m. An officer responded to the 800 block of Northwest Grant Avenue to extinguish a shrub that was engulfed in flames. After dousing the fire with a fire extinguisher, the officer questioned several people in the area but no one said they knew how the fire started.

TUESDAY

ILLEGAL SHOOTING — 12:45 a.m. Two females, 19 and 28, and one male, 21, arrested on accusations of illegally discharging a weapon in the city limits after they were reportedly seen shooting a BB gun in an alley in the 100 block of Northwest Eighth Street. One BB chipped the windshield of a car and another narrowly missed a man walking in the alley. The male was reportedly "very intoxicated" and when the officer contacted him he was laying on top of a loaded Glock handgun. He was not charged with unlawful possession of a firearm because the gun was not actually on his person, the officer stated.

DRUG CHARGES — 1:38 a.m. John Henery Willingham, 22, 4006 N.W. Witham Hill Drive, No. 146. Arrested on accusations of possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after an officer responded to his apartment for a complaint of loud music. Willingham was reportedly found passed out on his couch in the living room and items found in his apartment included a mirror with powdery residue on it that appeared to be cocaine, a plastic bag containing 2.48 grams of cocaine, plastic bags and a black case containing a total of 3.83, 1.75, 1.99 grams of marijuana, a marijuana cigarette, a glass marijuana pipe, a plastic bag containing six capsules of Dextroamphetamine and three Methylphenidate pills.

DUII PLUS — 2 a.m. Female, 24, arrested on accusations of DUII and reckless endangering of a passenger following a traffic stop on Southwest B Avenue and Fourth Street.

MUTUAL COMBAT — 2:15 a.m. An officer encountered two men fighting in the 1600 block of Northwest Harrison Boulevard. The officer determined that one of the men repeatedly challenged the other to a fight. When the other man finally agreed to fight, the challenger was knocked to the ground with a bloody nose and lip and a broken tooth and subsequently wanted the other man arrested for assault. The officer reminded him that he instigated the fight, that both men agreed to fight and that he lost. Because both men "voluntarily entered into mutual combat," the officer stated, neither was arrested for assault.

ABANDONED STROLLER — 8:54 a.m. A Nordic Track "jogger" baby stroller was found in a yard in the 1100 block of Northwest Ninth Street. After it remained in the yard overnight the resident turned it in to police.

ABANDONED SCOOTER — 9:45 a.m. A New Star G-Scooter gas-powered scooter was found in the street in the 300 block of Northeast Atwood Avenue. It appeared to have been abandoned or stolen and ditched.

WEDNESDAY
