“I am very pleased with the young women that we signed during the early signing period,” Wagner said. “I would like to thank my staff for the work that they put in to help us garner this outstanding recruiting class. We identified our needs and recruited people who fit what we’re looking for in the program.”
Smith will come to Oregon State after graduating from Pinole Valley High School. She was a 2005 Street and Smith All-American.
Oregon State signed a player in each of the five positions and will look to bring in more size during the late signing period (April 12).
“We’re very pleased with our first recruiting class here at Oregon State University,” Wagner said. “These student-athletes will come in and make an immediate impact on Oregon State women’s basketball.”
