FRIDAY
DUII — 4:09 a.m. Northwest Sequoia Avenue and Highland Drive. Deputies arrested a 44-year-old Corvallis man for driving under the influence. He reportedly refused to take a blood-alcohol test and became belligerent. Deputies said they had to hold him against his car while checking him for weapons. Meanwhile, the man “threatened to kill me and my family numerous times, and told me that I better take him seriously,” a deputy reported.
STREAKER — Someone reported seeing a naked man in Hyak Park on Jan. 27. The man was carrying dumbbells and had “something attached to his nipples,” a report said. The witness said the man went into a restroom with another male. Both men, who appeared to be in their 60s, then left the park.
DRUG POSSESSION — 10:13 p.m. Highway 20 at mile post 36. Deputies cited a 44-year-old Sweet Home woman for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
SATURDAY
DOG SHOT — 24000 block of Starr Creek Road. The sheriff’s office was asked to corral a dog that was chasing livestock. However, a deputy wrote in a report, “due to the aggressive demeanor of the dog, I was forced to shoot it.” At the time of the report, the dog’s owner had not come forward.

DUII — 12:30 a.m. Police arrested a 23-year-old Monmouth man for driving under the influence after he parked his car on the railroad tracks near Southwest Sixth Street and Western Boulevard.
THURSDAY
THEFT AND DRUG ARREST — 3:36 p.m. 120 S.W. Fourth St. Police accused Gabriel Michael Vergara, 25, of Albany of stealing $65 from a cash register in a children’s store. Vergara fled, leaving his girlfriend behind. When they apprehended him, police said Vergara had a bottle containing 148 Ritalin tablets and 1.87 grams of marijuana. Vergara was charged with theft, possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
DUII — 2:29 a.m. 100 block of Southwest Fourth Street. Police arrested a 23-year-old Scottsdale, Ariz., man for driving under the influence. His blood-alcohol level measured .11 percent.
FRIDAY
SQUATTERS — 3 p.m. 500 block of Northwest Harrison Boulevard. Police said three Corvallis men broke into a vacant house and, along with a group of transients, lived in the residence. They stripped stolen bikes in the basement and damaged property inside the house, a report said. Terry Gene Davis, 43, was arrested for two counts of first-degree criminal trespassing. Kyle Lloyd Rottenkolber, 21, was arrested for first-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. Marlon J. Mendoza, 38, was arrested for first-degree criminal trespassing.
SATURDAY
DRUGS FOUND — 7:53 p.m. 922 Northwest Circle Boulevard. A Rite-Aid employee found drugs inside the store. Police seized the substance and determined it to be 14.14 grams of methamphetamine.
CAR PROWL — 6 p.m. 400 block of Northeast Circle Boulevard. Someone broke into an SUV and stole a digital camera, 20 CDs, spark plug wires and film.
SUNDAY
DUII — 12:14 a.m. Northwest 26th Street and Fillmore Avenue. Police arrested a 22-year-old Corvallis man for driving under the influence. His blood-alcohol level was .06 percent, below the legal standard, but the man told officers he was under the influence of Concerta, a controlled substance.
DUII — 2:15 a.m. Northwest 25th Street and Tyler Avenue. Police arrested a 20-year-old Corvallis man for driving under the influence, minor in possession and reckless endangering; his blood-alcohol level was .16 percent.
MONDAY
CAR PROWL — 100 block of Northwest 15th Street. Someone broke into a Jeep between Jan. 29 and Jan. 31 and stole a video camera, digital camera, two cell phones and two checkbooks.
ESCAPED SUSPECT — 1:14 a.m. 1400 block of Northwest 11th Street. When police tried to stop a cyclist in the 1000 block of Grant Avenue, the rider fled north onto 11th Street, then crashed into a recycling bin and tumbled over his handlebars. The man then ran into a house and out the back door. A man who lived at the residence told police that he did not know the suspect. Police were unable to find the suspect.
DUII — 2:20 a.m. Southwest Madison Avenue and Second Street. Police arrested a Turner woman for driving under the influence and reckless endangering; her blood-alcohol level was .09 percent.

40-year-old Corvallis man told police that on Jan. 27, someone tried to take out three credit cards in his name and have them sent to an address in Plantation, Fla.

FELONY ELUDE — Police said they stopped a Subaru driven by Gregory S. Maltbie, 33, of Corvallis, but he took off when a trooper approached his car. Police managed to stop him again at Second Street and Adams Avenue. He was taken to the Benton County jail, where his blood-alcohol level was measured at .09 percent. Maltbie was charged with driving under the influence and felony eluding police.
