Taylor, Findley earn Pacific-10 honors

Oregon State junior forward Jodie Taylor and senior Robbie Findley were named first-team Pacific-10 Conference soccer all-stars on Thursday.

Taylor and Findley are the first OSU players to be three-time, first-team selections. Findley was second-team as a freshman. Ryan Johnson is OSU’s only other four-time all-conference selection; he was first-team twice, second-team once, and honorable mention once.

Taylor led the Beavers in all offensive categories, with eight goals, seven assists, 23 points, four game-winning goals and 64 shots. She ranks first in career game-winning goals (14), first in shots (189), second in goals (33), third in points (81) and seventh in assists (15).

Findley led the men with six goals, five assists and 17 points this season. He completed his career tied for first in game-winning goals (10), third in goals (28), third in points (71) and tied for fourth in assists (15).

Junior defender Alex Christensen, junior midfielder Brett Gardner, senior forward Bryan Jordan and sophomore defender Daniel Leach were honorable mention. It’s the second such honors for Christensen, Gardner and Leach.

University of Oregon coach Tara Erickson and sixth-year senior forward Nicole Garbin were named the women’s coach and player of the year, the first such honors for the Ducks.
