TUESDAY, FEB. 6

ATM FRAUD 12 p.m., 1300 block of Southwest Maple Tree Court. A 22-year-old Corvallis man reported his ATM card had been stolen and over $1800 had been taken from his bank account from a location in Southern California the previous day.

WEDNESDAY

DEBIT CARD FRAUD 3 p.m., 2600 block of Northeast Lancaster Street. A 30-year0old Corvallis woman reported someone in Jamaica had used her debit card to make several purchases totalling over $600. She has never been to Jamaica or charged anything that might be connected to a company there.

THURSDAY

CAT LITTER, VINEGAR AND BEER 12:20 a.m., near 14the Street and Van Buren Avenue. A 21-year-old Corvallis man was arrested after he threw a small trash can full of used cat litter that was soaked in vinegar and beer and mixed with cigarette butts through a window of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. The man was charged with criminal mischief and other charges. He agreed to clean up the mess.

CYCLES AND BASKETBALLS 6:11 p.m., 3300 block of Southwest Philomath Boulevard. A man in his late 20s riding a bicycle got mad when he nearly collided with a man in his 50s riding a unicycle and dribbling basketballs. the younger man chased the man on the unicycle and kicked his basketballs into a neighboring field before riding off.

MANICURE THEFT 6:50 p.m., 2300 block of Northwest Kings Boulevard. A 22-year-old woman was charged with theft of services when she left a manicure shop without paying. She was arrested late for a domestic disturbance and charged with disorderly conduct.

DUII 9:38 p.m., 300 block of Northwest Fifth Street. Police arrested a 33-year-old Corvallis man for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. His blood alcohol content was .33 percent.

FRIDAY

BREAKING AND ENTERING 2:57 a.m., 200 block of Northwest 23rd Street. Police arrested Kyle Doran, 21, of Corvallis and charged him with first degree burglary, a felony, criminal mischief and harassment after he allegedly broke into the home of a woman who had just broken up with him. He broke two front windows, reached inside and opened the door, then grabbed the woman and pushed her up against the wall. Roommates and a friend pulled him off. He ran when police arrived but was later arrested at his home.

SATURDAY

CAR THEFT 5:50 p.m., 900 block of Northwest Hayes Avenue. A 21-year-old Corvallis woman who was delivering pizzas was about 30 feet away from her car, which she left running, when she heard it drive away. She didn’t see the driver and hadn’t seen anyone in the area. The car was a silver 1993 Toyota Celica, license plate XHC001.

BENTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

THURSDAY

WIRE THEFT 9:20 a.m., 28000 block of Irish Bend Road, Monroe. A Consumers Power employee reported 2500 feet of aluminum conductor wire had been stolen.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE 3:44 p.m., at the intersection of Southwest Fourth Street and Jefferson Avenue. A Corvallis woman ran into a deputy’s car as he was responding to an emergency call. The deputy had his siren going and his roof-top lights spinning.

SATURDAY

COUGAR SIGHTINGS 10:04 p.m., 24400 block of Hazel Glen Road, Alsea. An Alsea resident reported sighting a 150-pound, healthy-looking cougar three times in three days. He said the cougar killed and ate one of his calves.
