This week Oregon State University Career Services will hold its annual winter career fairs.
Tuesday will be the university-wide fair from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the engineering career fair will take place Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both events will be held at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center on campus and are open and free to all OSU students and alumni, to help students learn about career opportunities, as well as assist organizations in connecting with students as interns and future employees.
More than 200 organizations are participating in the fairs, including several returning attendees, such as Hewlett-Packard, as well as many new organizations, including Nike. For a list of all organizations attending, please visit Career Services’ Web site at http://oregonstate.edu/career/.
Although career fairs take place every fall, winter and spring at OSU, this is the first year the events will be part of OSU Campus Wellness Week.
Campus Wellness Week, which begins Monday and concludes Friday, is a cross-campus collaboration to promote awareness of wellness as more than just physical activity. To see the list of events highlighting emotional, environmental, spiritual, social, intellectual and occupational health, as well as physical health, please visit OSU Recreation Sports’ Web site at http://oregonstate.edu/recsports.
Additionally, OSU Career Services hosts Career Week during the week leading up to the fairs. Workshops and events are offered to help students prepare for the career fairs and their job and internship searches.
This winter’s Career Week runs through Friday, and features programs such as resume and internship help, networking events with employers and a $15 suit sale. For a full list of events, visit Career Services’ annual calendar online at http://oregonstate.edu/career/calendar0607.pdf.
