Oregon State football coach Mike Riley will be inducted into the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame on June 13, the club announced Thursday.
Riley coached the Canadian Football League’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1987-90, and was an assistant from 1983-85.
He had a 40-32 record and won two Grey Cups as the head coach. Riley is fifth on the team’s all-time win list.
The team went 32-15-1 when he was the secondary coach and won a Grey Cup.
“I am very appreciative of the Winnipeg Football Club and this induction into their Hall of Fame,” Riley said. “This is very special for our entire family. … The city of Winnipeg and the Blue Bombers have meant a great deal to us and I am very proud of the time that we lived in the city and were part of the football organization.”
