ArtCentric hosts the Around Oregon exhibit through Oct. 25.
Oregon comes to ArtCentric

Annual exhibit brings together artists from around state

CORVALLIS - ArtCentric hosts the fifth Around Oregon annual exhibition, showing the wide range of artistic expression produced by contemporary artists from across the state, through Oct. 25. A reception will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5.

As in past years, the exhibit includes diverse work which reflects the choices of the jurors. This year the owners of the beppu wiarda gallery in Portland — Stephanie Wiarda and Gail and Stan Beppu — served as jurors.

When reviewing, the jurors took several factors into account: quality, how pieces would tie together to build a strong exhibit, and the regional influences of work made in Oregon. The jurors will select exhibit awards once the work is on display.

Participating artists are: Jim Adams, Joey Azul, Beth A. Barnett, Joan L. Brown, Nancy Bryant, Bobbie Jansen, Susan Johnson, Erik Lubbock, Chi Meredith, Jasmine Nahorniak, Sandy Segna, Chia-hui Shen, Heidi Beierle, Kathleen Caprario, Brizz Meddings, Paul Neevel, Charles Search, Change-Ae Song, LaVonne Tarbox-Crone, Rakar West, Annegret Disterheft, Eileen Cotter Howell, Andries Fourie, Pat Jackman, Kristin Kuhns, Laura Mack, Susan Trueblood Stuart, Brad Carlile, Cathy L. Chisholm, Karen J. Clark, Nikki Dilbeck, Al Flory, Julie Fulkerson, Don Jacobson, Jo Marie Ray, Stephan Soihl, Kentree Speirs, Grace Weston, James O’Keefe and Jon Leach.
