SC boys roll in soccer

ALBANY - Mark Huff scored three times and Curtis Burwell had three assists on Friday to lead Santiam Christian High to a 6-1 victory over the Delphian School in a Special District 4 boys soccer game at Linn-Benton.

The Eagles (6-0-2, 5-0-0) face a more difficult test on Tuesday when they play at Gervais, which is also unbeaten in Special District 4.

Volleyball

PHILOMATH - Newport easily handled Philomath in the Val-Co League volleyball match on Thursday, sweeping the Warriors 3-0. Game scores were 25-19, 25-20, 25-17.

Skye Houk had four kills and Juli Dooley and Kenzi Harding both had three kills for PHS.

the Warriors (2-7).

Philomath will host Taft on Wednesday.
