Solar power tour and talk set for Saturday

Corvallis homes equipped to turn the sun’s energy into electricity will be on display Saturday.

The fourth annual Green and Solar Tour will take place Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Maps for the self-guided tour are available at First Alternative Co-op stores, Footwise and Citizens Bank in Philomath.

After the tour, Christopher Dymond of the Oregon Department of Energy will lead a presentation on solar energy and economics at 7 p.m. at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library.
