BEAVERS REPORT CARD

QUARTERBACKS: Lyle Moevao’s debut as a starter was a success. He managed the game and made plays, but threw a bad pick and fumbled.

B-

RUNNING BACKS: Yvenson Bernard put his left-shoulder pain in the back of his mind and ran with his usual intensity. He made the offense go.

A

WIDE RECEIVERS: Even though there was a new guy throwing to them there were too many dropped passes for this late in the year.

C

OFFENSIVE LINE: OG Jeremy Perry’s return helped in all phases. The new-look lineup worked, too. Roy Schuening did well as a tackle.

A

DEFENSIVE LINE: Heavy pressure was brought on the QBs all night with sacks and forcing them to scramble with little room to escape.

A

LINEBACKERS: It was a night of mop-up duty. If a ball carrier made it beyond the line the LBs blasted them. The Washington offense was bad.

A

SECONDARY: The Huskies don’t throw the ball well anyway, but when they tried they were contained. If they got off an accurate pass it was stopped.

A

SPECIAL TEAMS: Alexis Serna continued his success against Washington. Things are going well when a blocked punt leads directly to a touchdown.

A

COACHING: Mark Banker had the defense firing on all cylinders. The weakness in punt blocking was exploited and the offensive holes patched.
