John Dezzani, J.D., has joined Jeanne Smith & Associates, where he will continue his practice in litigation, business and estate planning. Dezzani is an attorney and Certified Financial Planner professional who is licensed to practice law in Oregon, California, Hawaii and Washington. He is also admitted before the U.S. Supreme Court. Dezzani previously served as a naval officer in the United States Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps and as a special assistant to the U.S. Attorney. He has also practiced law with an internationally known law firm and worked with the Wall Street firm of Merrill Lynch.

Hong Liner has joined Bryant Realty Inc., 685 N.W. Fifth St., Corvallis, as a real estate broker. Previously, Hong worked for Weyerhauser Company, Boeing, and Oregon State University as a facilities planner. She has worked and lived in Corvallis since 1998 and has been an active member of the local community through both her career and volunteering work.

T’halia Martinez is the new store manager for Maurices, a fashion retailer for young women, in Corvallis. Martinez will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including sales performance, visual presentation, and personnel recruitment and training.

Gene Buccola, a real estate professional with the Hasson Company, recently reached the 3,000 transactions mark in his three-decade career, achieving a proud moment in his life and a rare feat within the industry. Buccola began his career in 1978 in Corvallis. Buccola’s expertise in residential real estate grew to include commercial real estate and investment properties from the Willamette Valley to the high-desert areas of Bend and Redmond. He has worked with area land developers and builders by spearheading marketing and sales programs to promote new construction. Averaging approximately 100 transactions a year for the last 30 years, Buccola has assisted individuals, families and corporations throughout Oregon, Washington and California.

Citizens Bank and Yamhill Community Development were recently awarded $110,000 for their Rolling Hills Low Income Development in Carlton through Affordable Housing Program funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle (Seattle Bank). The award will support the development of quality affordable housing in Carlton. The project is planned for completion in June, 2008. Citizens Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Citizens Bancorp, has offices in Corvallis, Albany, Philomath, Junction City, Springfield, Harrisburg, McMinnville, Dallas and Lebanon.
