William L. “Bill” Sether

Jan. 4, 1923 — March 10, 2008

William L. (Bill) Sether died March 10 at the age of 85 of natural causes in Penn Valley, Calif.

He was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Leesburg, Va. He also resided in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Riverside, Calif., and Corvallis. He was a longtime real estate salesman and broker while living in Corvallis. Bill loved racing sports cars and flying small aircraft, and was an avid golfer in his retirement.

He is survived by his son Rand of Corvallis; daughters Val Howard of Lake City, Fla., and Deb Sether of Sisters; stepsons Rick Sether of Grass Valley, Calif., and Jeff Sether of Penn Valley, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter Pam Albrecht of San Diego and son Martin Sether of Corvallis.

No service will be held at Mr. Sether’s request.
