OSU students share innovations

Oregon State University seniors will display their projects, prototypes and innovations at the ninth annual OSU Engineering Expo today.

The event, from noon to 5 p.m., will be held at Kelley Engineering Center.

The expo will include more than 100 displays, including robot races, a concrete canoe, student-built race cars and more.

“This event showcases the end results of our hands-on teaching and learning here at Oregon State,” said Ron Adams, dean of the College of Engineering. “Our students take on complex challenges, many of them working with industry partners, to develop incredibly innovative solutions.”

Student teams worked on the projects for months.

Parking is available in the garage at 26th and Washington, with free shuttle service to the Engineering Expo. For more information, go to http://engr.oregonstate.edu/expo2008/.
