Holiday closures

Here is the schedule for closures on Independence Day, Friday, July 4:

AQUATIC CENTER: Osborn Aquatic Center will be open 1 to 4 p.m.

BANKS: Most banks will be closed.

BUSES: Corvallis Transit System buses and Dial-a-Bus will not run.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT: Federal offices of the Siuslaw National Forest and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will be closed.

GARBAGE: Garbage collection will be as scheduled. The Coffin Butte Landfill in Adair Village will be closed.

HUMANE SOCIETY: Heartland Humane Society will be closed.

LIBRARY: The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library will be closed.

LIQUOR: Corvallis liquor stores on Washington Avenue and on Circle Boulevard will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Philomath liquor store will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT: Corvallis, Philomath and Benton County offices will be closed.

LOTTERY: The lottery and winner claims office in Salem will be closed.

NEWSPAPER: The Gazette-Times office at 600 S.W. Jefferson Ave. will be closed. The newspaper will be delivered as usual.

POST OFFICE: U.S. post offices will be closed, and no deliveries will be made until Saturday.

SCHOOLS: Corvallis and Philomath school district offices and schools will be closed.

Oregon State University and Linn-Benton Community College offices will be closed, and classes will be canceled.

STATE GOVERNMENT: State offices, including the Department of Human Services and Driver and Motor Vehicle Services, will be closed.
