Lyn Ellen Charles

Sept. 1, 1951 — June 6, 2008

Lyn Ellen Charles, 56 years old and a resident of Corvallis for 19 years, died on June 6. She was born on Sept. 1, 1951, to Searle F. and Barbara Y. Charles in Little Falls, N.Y. She attended Windham High School, in Willimantic, Conn., from 1965 to 1969, and played the flute in the high school band. She was also a synchronized swimmer in the school’s Dolphin Club. Lyn graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in psychology in 1973. She was a talented painter and had a nurturing spirit that she shared with her family as well as an active interest in animals and children’s welfare. 

Lyn is survived by her mother; brother, Donald F. Charles; two sisters, Janne Hicks and Judith Charles; four nieces and one nephew. Her family celebrated her life on June 10. She is buried at Oaklawn Cemetery.
