Gail Wilson, a real estate sales professional in the Corvallis/Albany area, recently joined Keller Williams Mid-Willamette Market Center.

Benjamin Kevan, PA-C, has joined Samaritan Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Center. He will assist Jacqueline Krumrey, M.D. Kevan has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. He is a certified athletic trainer and is fluent in Portuguese.

Cathy Marshall, former Portland, Seattle and national television news reporter and anchorwoman, current football sideline reporter and OSU alumna, has been hired to lead the Oregon State University Alumni Association’s efforts in the Portland and Seattle areas. Marshall will serve as the association’s regional director, leading efforts to serve and engage OSU’s largest concentration of alumni in Oregon and outside the state.

Beth Young was recently appointed by Mayor Charlie Tomlinson to the Commission on Civic Beautification and Urban Forestry. The commission advises the City Council on matters relating to the planting, maintenance, removal and preservation of community trees and landscape beautification. It also reviews proposals and awards funding for civic beautification projects. Beth is owner and principal of Beth Young Garden Design, LLC, a residential landscape design firm, and Young Associates LLC Land Design Services.

Mennonite Village chaplain Lynn Miller plans to retire this month. Miller served as an ordained Mennonite minister and pastor of Albany Mennonite Church during his career, which spanned nearly four decades.

T. Gerding Construction Company, a Corvallis-based building contractor, was recently awarded a CM/GC construction contract for the MRI addition at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport. Construction will begin in August with completion expected by January 2009.

Heartland Humane Society was recently selected to receive a grant from the American Humane Association’s Meacham Foundation Memorial. Heartland received $3,904 to make necessary kennel improvements and purchase equipment for a new interactive dog behavioral program that helps dogs become more adoptable.

Officers and directors

The Rotary Club of Corvallis After Five has named its officers and board members for the 2008-2009 fiscal year. The new officers are Lee Tinker, president; Tyler Childers, president-elect; Debbie Parsons, secretary; Kristi Hart, treasurer; and Rhonda Heile-Brown, past president. Also, members appointed to one-year terms as directors are Brian Brooks, membership; Scott Stoller and Kate Sundstrom, club administration; Dave Goulding and Brad Whiting, community service; Ann Easterly and Roxann Weger, international service; John McArdle, foundation; and Jennifer Gardner, public relations.
