2 men plead not guilty to riot charges

EUGENE — Two men have pleaded not guilty to riot charges involving a confrontation with Eugene police at a pesticide demonstration.

Anthony Jameson Farley, 22, of Corvallis and David Killian Parziale, 19, of Ojai, Calif., each requested a court-appointed attorney during an appearance Monday in Lane County Circuit Court. They were indicted by a grand jury last week on riot and disorderly conduct charges for their role in the May 30 protest against pesticides.

A third man, George Van Ornum, 19. was charged with obstructing traffic and resisting arrest when police used a Taser on him.

All three are University of Oregon students.
