Wednesday, Sept. 3
Vehicle crash: 2:55 p.m., Northeast Highway 20 and Independence Highway, Albany. A deputy responded to a noninjury traffic accident and directed traffic until an Oregon State Police trooper arrived to handle the investigation. No further information was available.
Vehicle crash: 3:31 p.m., Northwest 27th Street and Grant Avenue, Corvallis. Paramedics treated an injured driver after she was involved in a two-car crash. The driver of the second car told police he was facing east on Grant Avenue, waiting to make a left turn into the driveway of his residence, when he was struck from behind by the injured driver’s car. Officers found no skid marks on the road and issued the injured woman a citation for following too close. Drivers’ insurance information was exchanged later.
Burglary: 3:41 p.m., 400 block Northwest Quarry Road, Albany. A 30-year-old woman was arrested for burglary, forgery and theft after admitting that she had entered her father’s house without permission, stole a blank check and a change jar containing approximately $90. The woman had forged her father’s signature on a check in the amount of $1,200 and gave it to someone to whom she owed money. The woman was lodged at the Benton County jail. No further information was available.
Thursday, Sept. 4
Vehicle crash: 8:15 a.m., Northeast Highway 99W and Ryals Avenue, near Adair Village. A deputy responded to a two-vehicle accident. There were no injuries and the two drivers exchanged information. No citations were issued.
