Monday, Sept. 8

Credit card fraud: 11:03 a.m., 4200 block Northeast Highway 20, Corvallis. A resident reported an unauthorized transaction on her checking account, made through her debit card. The $300 charge was for an online gambling service. The woman canceled the card and filed a report with police.

Warrant arrest: 11:17 a.m., 2500 block Southeast Thompson Street, Corvallis. A man with an outstanding warrant was contacted at his residence, where police confirmed his identity and the warrant. The warrant was out of the Corvallis Municipal Court for failing to appear on an “unprovoked attack” charge.

Tuesday, Sept. 9

Property damage:

12:39 p.m., 900 block Northwest Springhill Drive, Albany. A caller reported that she was driving north on Springhill Drive, past a golf course, when a golf ball struck her vehicle. The caller tried, but could not find the person who hit the ball. A deputy arrived and found no suspects.

Lost dog found: 1:29 p.m., 7650 Northwest Mountain View Drive, Lewisburg. A golden retriever was found during the night near Peavy Arboretum. The county animal control officer retrieved the dog and transported it to Heartland Humane Society. Heartland had a lost dog report on file for the retriever and the owner was contacted.
