Celebrate local goods at Chefs Jubilee

Grace Center for Adult Day Services is inviting the community to come and experience the tastes of the local harvest on Sunday, and it promises to be quite a delectable celebration. Besides getting in on an opportunity to sample a lot of local cuisine, it’s a great way to explore just what Grace Center is all about, especially at a time when they’re still enjoying the newness of their relatively new location.

For people who are suffering from memory loss due to Alzheimer’s disease or other causes, or are recovering from strokes and other physical challenges, Grace center is an undeniable haven.

And as Grace Center administrator Cheri Babb, R.N., pointed out to me recently, “It’s a relatively low-cost method of care, considering you get so much more for your money than you would with in-home care.”

The center has two distinct programs, a post-rehabilitation program (focusing on folks who have had strokes, traumatic brain injuries, for example, who need specialized physical exercises), and memory-care program offering specialized services for people with memory loss.
