Monday, Sept. 29

Motel theft:
4:40 a.m. 400 block of Northwest Second Street. An employee at the Super 8 reported that while she was in back getting cleaning supplies, someone opened the cash register and stole $343 in cash.

Drug charges: 9:08 p.m., 900 block of Southwest 10th Street. Evan James Kuenzli, 25, was arrested on charges of unlawful delivery of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful possession of cocaine, two counts of unlawful possession of a schedule II controlled substance, two counts of possession of schedule III controlled substance, one count of possession of schedule IV controlled substance, as well as tampering with physical evidence and vandalism. Cocaine, heroin and prescription drugs were found.

Friday, Oct. 3

Breaking and entering:
5:51 a.m., 2900 block of Northwest Polk Avenue. Tenants woke to find their apartment doors open and a laptop and bike stolen from their apartment.

Saturday, Oct. 4

Stolen vehicle:
9:26 a.m., 900 block of Southwest 15th Street. A black 1996 Volkswagen GTI was reported stolen from an apartment parking lot.

Duck killing: 5:49 p.m., Starker Arts Park. Five teens and adults were arrested on charges of attempted animal abuse after killing a duck using home-made blow guns and then stepping on the animal. Arrested were Robert Cummings, 18, Ryan Chesser, 19, Nick McQueen, 19, and two 17-year-olds, all of Philomath.

Friday, Oct. 3

Theft:
Wilkinson Hall, Room 106. An HP desktop computer worth $800 was stolen from a classroom. The door to the classroom was open.

Monday, Oct. 6

Theft:
9:14 a.m., 14th Street and Campus Way. Two textbooks on process management and accounting, worth $350, were stolen from a vehicle. The wing window of the vehicle was broken to retrieve the books.
