First-year WSU coach Paul Wulff faces major hurdles rebuilding the Cougars program. Injuries to his top two quarterbacks haven’t helped his efforts.
Wulff faces tough task

It wasn’t a big move for Paul Wulff.

Wulff didn’t pick up stakes and roll across the country to his new job.

Although the move from the Cheney area to the Pullman area isn’t huge, Washington State University is a big step from Eastern Washington University in the coaching world.

Washington State athletic director Jim Sterk said the nation was scoured for the best candidates, but the Cougars found their new coach practically in their backyard.
