The Oregon State women’s soccer team fell behind in the opening 15 seconds and lost

2-1 to Washington on Friday in a Pacific-10 Conference game at Lorenz Field.

Washington’s (11-5-0, 2-3-0) Alex Webber scored at the 15-second mark after an OSU turnover and the Huskies maintained that lead despite being outshot 7-1 in the first half. Washington eventually led 2-0 before OSU’s (5-7-2, 0-3-1) Rachael Axon scored on a penalty kick at 66:17 after teammate Najma Homidi was fouled in the box.

The Beavers host No. 22 Washington State at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
