Training and development

Country financial representative Nathan McIntyre of Albany recently obtained the Investment Solutions Representative qualification after completing a certification program combining classroom sessions and personal study. After the training, he can provide clients with access to Country financial services, including retirement planning, investment management and trust services. McIntyre serves clients from the Country office at 777 N.W. Ninth St., Suite 406, Corvallis.

People on the move

Heather Boright and her pal Freddie have recently become ArtsShop manager at The Arts Center, a nonprofit organization that supports and helps artists in our community. Boright served as a technical writer, illustrator, designer and developer and is a glass artist.

Dr. Julie Wrazel has taken the position as chief technical officer at Home Dialysis Plus, Ltd. (HD+), a developer of advanced home dialysis devices. As CTO she will lead the development of a portable, cost-

effective hemodialysis system that will allow patients to experience the benefits of nightly nocturnal dialysis in their own homes.

Wrazel joins HD+ after 29 years of employment with Hewlett-Packard.

The Arc of Benton County launched www.thearcthriftstore.com, an online store, this week. It features a selection of delicate, vintage or high-value antiques and collectible merchandise.

Officers, directors

Lucy Noone was recently elected as president of the Oregon Hospice Providers Council. The Hospice Providers Council brings together the chief administrators of Oregon hospices for the purposes of networking, problem-solving, advocating for patients and ensuring that issues important to hospice work stay in front of the state Legislature.

Noone has served as executive director of Benton Hospice Service since 2002.

Comings and goings

The Corvallis Clinic will open a location at North Albany Village shopping center this morning.

The Corvallis Clinic at North Albany Village will initially have three primary care physicians accepting new patients. Family physician Ann Jurani-Suarez, M.D., will move her practice there from Albany Family & Specialty Medicine, Corvallis Clinic internist Robert Wirth, M.D., will move his practice there and the Corvallis Clinic’s newest family physician, Frank Sievert, M.D., will open his practice there as well.

The new free-standing building features 12 regular exam rooms and one large procedure room to accommodate practices for four primary care physicians.

The facility also includes an on-site laboratory and computerized radiology services.
