Oregon State guard Talisa Rhea was selected as the Pacific-10 Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week on Monday for her performance in a 100-45 victory over Sacramento State on Sunday in OSU’s regular-season opener.
Rhea scored a Pac-10 Conference-record 10 3-point baskets to break the mark of nine.
Rhea was 10-for-19 from long range and scored 42 points. Her final 3 put the Beavers at 100 points, the first such game for OSU in more than five seasons. She shot 58.3 percent (14-for-24) from the floor, was 4-for-4 from the foul line and added five assists and three steals, both career highs.
