“Deal or No Deal” — Staff Sgt. Matt Zedwick, who won $227,000 on “Deal or No Deal” that aired Christmas night, was the first Oregon National Guard member to receive the Silver Star since World War II. The Dec. 24 and 27 stories about Zedwick were incorrect in saying that he was the first Oregon soldier since World War II to receive the honor.

The Gazette-Times regrets the errors.
