The few banged up Oregon State football players continue to make progress and mostly worked out at full speed at Wednesday’s practice.

RB Strom Woods (knee) and WR Markus Wheaton (leg) are expected to be ready for Saturday’s game against Washington State.

Coach Mike Riley maintains the Beavers have such strong depth at RB that Malcolm Agnew, Terron Ward and Woods are interchangeable.

DE Rudolf Fifita (concussion) started his running program as he prepares to be ready for the game.

How good is Cougars LB Travis Long? OSU has had Lavonte Barnett in an orange jersey on the defensive scout team to replicate Long so the offense puts an emphasis on blocking him. The defensive scout never does that. Usually the offensive scout team is full of orange jerseys.

WR Brandin Cooks was added to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which recognizes the top receiver in college football each year. He joins teammate Markus Wheaton on the list.

Cooks has 21 receptions for 404 yards and two touchdowns. He’s part of the fourth most productive passing offense in the nation.

The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation will determine the semifinalists on Nov. 12 and the winner will be announced Dec. 6.
