Oregon State football coach Mike Riley likes to have his recruits come in for visits during January.

That way the staff can give them their full attention instead of balancing coaching a game with selling the program.

Another plus of the January visit is you weed out those who can’t handle the rain and cold. However, this year the rain has held off so that's positive for recruiting.

Players like to come by during the season to take in the football atmosphere. That already helped the Beavers this year to their potential 20-player class.

According to Rivals.com, there are only fpur players scheduled for a visit this weekend and one Jan. 25. Of course that could change.

RB Lawrence Mattison, who already committed to OSU, DT Ofa Hautau, whose brother already signed to OSU, three-star athlete Corey Lawrence and three-star LB Keishawn Bierria have plans to visit this weekend. Four-star OL Brayden Kearsley, who is committed to BYU, is scheduled in for Jan. 25.
