West Albany senior Tani Stephens has given a verbal commitment to the Washington State volleyball program.

Stephens, a 5A first team all-state player the past two seasons, said the Cougars' coaching staff was the biggest factor in her decision.

She made an unofficial visit to Pullman in March and attended a camp there this past summer. Her official visit will be in late November.

"I really liked the campus," said Stephens, an outside hitter and setter, said. "It was a lot like OSU, which is what I’ve grown up around. Going up there just felt more like home, and being around the coaches was what I was looking for."
