People on the Move

Rebecca Tolentino has been promoted to manager of the Waverly branch of Central Willamette Community Credit Union in Albany. Tolentino has been employed at the credit union since 2000. She has held various positions, including financial service consultant and most recently sales supervisor.

Geryl McGowan has joined First American Title in Corvallis as an escrow officer. She previously was an escrow officer with Pacific Northwest Title in Eugene. McGowan has experience with tax-deferred exchanges, residential purchases, refinances, investment property, first-time homebuyers, construction, and VA and FHA loans.

Community Outreach Inc., which provides emergency shelter, health care and substance abuse treatment services in the mid-valley, has announced several staff changes. Irisha Niles-Flamez has been promoted to social services director, Amealia Schreiter has been promoted to family support mentor and Karen Stueber has been promoted to case manager.

The Lebanon Community Foundation has two new members on its board of directors. They are Terry Deacon, a retired Lebanon teacher and coach, and Shelly Garrett, sales manager for KGAL/KSHO Radio.

Community Outreach Inc., the mid-valley's largest social service agency serving the poor and uninsured, has announced new officers for 2007-08. They are Judy Corwin, president; Glenna Bunnell, president-elect; the Rev. Stephen Dietrich, secretary; and Nadine Davison, treasurer. Recently elected to the board of directors were George Brown, Julie Manning and John Erkkila.

Jim Kuhlman State Farm Inc. has been named to the Million Dollar Round Table by State Farm Insurance. The Corvallis agency was in the top 1 percent of all State Farm life and health agencies in the country in sales production for 2006.

News & Notes

Umpqua Bank has completed its acquisition of Northern California's North Bay Bancorp. All North Bay Bancorp branches, including those of The Vintage Bank and its Solano Bank division, now operate under the Umpqua Bank name. Roseburg-based Umpqua grows under the deal from 134 banks to 144 bank locations in Oregon, Washington and Northern California, including branches in Albany, Corvallis, Sweet Home and Lebanon.

Northwest Farm Credit Services has reported financial results from the first quarter ended

March 31. Net income was $26.7 million, up from $25.2 million in the same period last year. Total capital was just over $1 billion, up 10.5 percent from $911 million in the year-ago period. Northwest Farm Credit Services provides financing and related services to famers, ranchers, commercial fishermen, timber producers and others in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.
