Take a bow
Stevan Arnold, a professor of zoology at Oregon State University, and Eric Charnov, a courtesy professor of fisheries at OSU and distinguished professor of biology at the University of New Mexico, have been elected as fellows of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Arnold, who is the director of the Oregon State Arthropod Collection, is a herpetologist and evolutionary biologist. He received his doctoral degree in zoology from the University of Michigan in 1972, and has received millions of dollars in research support from the National Science Foundation, much of it for studies of evolutionary processes and animal behavior.
Charnov is a courtesy professor of fisheries at OSU and distinguished professor of biology at the University of New Mexico. He does research in ecology, economics and evolution to understand the life history, reproductive, and foraging decisions of plants and animals, including humans.
Arnold and Charnov were two of 210 new fellows and 19 foreign honorary members recognized as leaders in the sciences, humanities, arts, business, public affairs, and the nonprofit sector. This organization is one of the nation's most prestigious honorary societies and a center for independent policy research.

Part-time faculty at Linn-Benton Community College was recognized at an awards reception on April 15.
Peers in their respective divisions nominated faculty for the award. Selection is based on distinguished and exemplary instructional performance and contribution to excellence in education.

Comings and goings
Mastermind Headquarters and EndWell Pilates and Coaching have combined to create EndWell, LLC. The new company offers support and development programs targeting entrepreneurs and professionals. EndWell, LLC offers dynamic coaching, mastermind groups, workshops and Pilates. The business is owned and operated by Kristina Ender, CAC / Peak Pilates Certified and Shawna Corden, ACC, PMP.
Reinvestment
Debra Slover of Albany who wrote the book "U.N.I.Q.U.E. Growing the Leader Within," has awarded a Cultivation Grant to For Girls GLocal Leadership.
The $500 grant, her first, goes to the U.S. based nonprofit that supports the 1000 Leaders Compassion Project fund-raising challenge.
The mission of 4GGL is to "ignite, develop and promote girls' leadership in impoverished communities".
