This fall, Community Outreach, Inc. (COI) will host its second advocacy training program. The series begins Sept. 7th and ends November 16th. This program is designed for community members and those beginning to work in social services. The curriculum is composed on 15 modules offered by a wide range of speakers in our community covering an array of topics such as: common mental health issues, crisis de-escalation, compassion fatigue, and professional boundaries. These courses are being offered free of charge in the hopes of expanding our ability to respond to the needs of our community. People are welcome to attend only the courses that they feel would be beneficial. However, space is limited, so registration is required. For a full list of courses and dates, please contact Ryushin Hart at firstname.lastname@example.org.
