An exhibit titled "Knots" by Alex Krajkowski, an artist and Linn-Benton Community College visual arts instructor, will be on display through Dec. 1, in the college's South Santiam Hall Gallery, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.
An artist reception will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the South Santiam Hall Gallery. It's free, and light refreshments will be provided.
Krajkowski's art redefines photographic tradition, conceptualizing ideas about control and exploring the reactive processes of image capture. The undulating forms of his work give an abstract twist to the practicality of film. By forcing changes with the use of chemicals, water and physical manipulation, viewers are asked to question the elements of depth, design and function when face to face with his artwork.
LBCC galleries are open to the public Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
