AUDITIONS

“Corpse” — Auditions for “Corpse,” a comedy thriller by Gerald Moon, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at Pentacle Theatre, 324 52nd Ave. N.W., Salem. Callbacks are Sunday, July 27, if needed. The cast calls for one woman able to play 30-60 years old, and three men able to play ages ranging from 20 to 70 years. The show will run Oct. 3-25. Information: 503-581-3544.

CALL TO ARTISTS

Sixth Annual Celebrate Arts Juried Art Show — Applications are now available for this annual juried art exhibit. The show, sponsored by the Friends of the Florence Events Center, is open to artists in all media and of all ages. Artists can submit up to four pieces of art. Cash awards will be presented in categories of two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and photography, as well as in two “young artists” categories. The deadline for show entries is Oct. 17. The actual art must be delivered to the FEC between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Nov. 4. Juror’s selections will be made the following day and the show will run from Friday, Nov. 7, through Friday, Nov. 14. CLASSES and WORKSHOPS

“Educator Launch” — Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum will host a special one-day workshop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 25. The Educator Launch will feature 13 workshop sessions taught by educators from NASA, Ames Research Center, the Federal Aviation Administration, Civil Air Patrol and local observatories. Information will be provided on how to connect math, science and history content to aerospace topics. Cost: $12, lunch included. U.S. Forest Service Campfire Programs — At 7 p.m. on every Saturday until Aug. 16, volunteer rangers will entertain families with educational and fun campfire programming at Timothy and Trillium Lake campgrounds. Participants can bring marshmallows and learn about a variety of forest topics in these one-hour programs that focus on history, ecology and geology. SUMMER CAMPS

Eugene Glass School Fusing Camp for Kids — Multiple sessions available: 9 to 11 a.m., noon to 2 p.m. or 3 to 5 p.m. July 23-25, July 30-Aug. 1 or Aug. 6-8 at the Eugene Glass School, 575 Wilson St., Eugene. Ages: 5 and up. Campers aged 5-10 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants make magnets, picture frames, night lights, sushi dishes, plates and tiles. Summer Camps fo Latino Youth — Three summer camps focused on career and educational opportunities for Latino elementary, middle and high school students are offered in July and August by the Oregon State University Extension Service 4-H Youth Development Program. The camps will be at the Oregon 4-H Conference and Education Center, about eight miles northwest of Salem. The 4-H International Summer Camp for middle school students will be Aug. 10-14. Elementary school students who have finished third, fourth and fifth grades are invited to the 4-H International Summer Camp Aug. 16n19 at the Center.
