Bill Robbins, a professor emeritus of history at Oregon State University, will examine Tom McCall’s environmental legacy at the next Corvallis Science Pub, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Old World Deli, 341 S.W. Second St.

McCall, a journalist who served as Oregon’s governor from 1967 to 1975, led a crusade against water pollution and unregulated growth that continues to resonate with people today.

Robbins will discuss the significance of McCall’s leadership and screen his groundbreaking documentary on Willamette River contamination, “Pollution in Paradise,” a one-hour program that aired on KGW television in November 1962.
