It’s Girl Scouts cookie time, and the Girl Scouts of Benton County are selling cookies throughout Corvallis and Philomath from Feb. 15 through March 10 — with some high-tech help.

In addition to their usual locations outside participating local grocery stores during this time, cookie fanciers can locate a sale site by using the online cookie locator: http://cookielocator.littlebrownie.com/ and a free “Find Girl Scout Cookies” app for iPhones and Android smartphones: Simply call **GSCOOKIES (**472665437).

The cookie sale enables girls to plan travel and other adventures, perform community service projects, and learn important business competencies: money management, goal setting, decision making, people skills and business ethics.

Last summer nine girls from Cadette Troop 20142 used their earnings from the cookie sale to travel to Savannah, Ga., to visit the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts.
