CORVALLIS

Benton County Republicans Fourth of July pancake breakfast and garage sale, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. (breakfast) or noon (sale), 980 N.W. Circle Blvd. Cost: $6 adults, $4 children (under 12), $1 children (3 and under). Information: 929-5382.

Red, White and Blue Festival 5-kilometer race, 9 a.m., meet at at First Street and Monroe Avenue, Corvallis. Cost: $5 if not preregistered.

Red White & Blue Riverfront Festival, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., downtown Corvallis. Live music: Wild Hog Gumbo, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Caught in the Act, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.; Creighton Lindsay, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.; and The Ty Curtis Band, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Also: dancing, food, kids' activities and craft fair. Fireworks over the Willamette River by the Jaycees will follow last performance. Admission is free, but beads or flashing pens will be given to those who donate $5 or more at the gate. Baseball, Philomath Baseball Association is hosting its 4th of July Tournament at Philomath High. Admission is $4 for adults, or a $10 pass for all three days is available; $2 for students ages 5-18 and senior citizens, or $5 for a three-day pass. Games will be played today through Sunday.

Albany Timber Carnival, "Blast from the Past," 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., runs through Saturday, Timber-Linn Park, 900 Price Road, Albany.
