Local health reform advocates will present a free screening of the documentary "Money-Driven Medicine" at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 N.W. Monroe Ave.
Based on the book by investigative reporter Maggie Mahar, the film offers a critique of the U.S. health care system and a plan to fix it. A panel discussion will follow the film with Dr. Chinh Le, nurse practitioner Charlotte Drost and Dr. Michael Huntington.
Sponsors of the screening include Mid-Valley Health Care Advocates, the League of Women Voters, Interfaith Health Care Network, the Archimedes Movement and Physicians for a National Health Program.
