EGG THROWING - 7:47 p.m., near the intersection of Northwest Monroe Avenue and Northwest Kings Boulevard. Four teenage males admitted throwing eggs out of a car at a 20-year-old man who was a stranger. Officers gave the teens a verbal warning.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT - 8:18 p.m., 900 block of Northwest Sycamore Avenue. Officers arrested James Robert Hutchinson, 49, and charged him with felony assault and strangulation after his wife and a friend called 911. Hutchinson's wife reported he grabbed her by the throat and threw a lamp and a table at her. Hutchinson's blood alcohol content was 0.284 percent during the incident.

BANANA THIEF - 5:12 p.m., 1200 block of Northwest 10th Street. A Corvallis man was arrested and cited for taking a banana without paying for it from Grocery Outlet. He ate it before leaving the store. Officers said he appeared to be intoxicated.
VIOLATING RELEASE CONDITION - 4:48 p.m., 900 block of Northwest Sycamore Avenue. Officers arrested James Hutchinson for trying to contact his wife in violation of his release agreement the previous day.
THURSDAY
BURNING LAWN - 10:45 p.m., 100 block of Northwest 27nd Street. Police responded to the Church of the Latter-day Saints where someone had traced the "Darwin fish" symbol nearly covering the east lawn and set it on fire. There were no witnesses.
FRIDAY
FOUR WHEEL DRIVE - 9:27 p.m., 1700 block of Northwest Dixon Street. A 16-year-old Corvallis boy admitted to police he drove his Ford Bronco across the north lawn and garden of the Calvin Presbyterian Church, damaging it. He said he wanted to "test his four-wheel drive." He was cited with second degree criminal mischief.
SATURDAY
TRESTLE CRASH - 12:30 a.m., Southwest 53rd Street and Reservoir Avenue. David Alan Egri, 33, crashed into the railroad trestle, damaging the trestle and injuring himself. He was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, treated and released. Police cited him for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, reckless driving and criminal mischief.
SUNDAY
EXTRADITED TO CALIFORNIA - 9:45 a.m., 300 block of Southwest 53rd Street. Steven Gima, 38, from Castro Valley, Calif., was arrested on a parole violation and can be extradited to the sunshine state. He is also a suspect in forgery and mail theft cases in Corvallis.
MONDAY
SCARY CHRISTMAS - 9:57 p.m., 500 block of Northeast Circle Boulevard. A teenage couple were surrounded by three men who punched the man and threw him to the ground. Neither knew the attackers, who drove off in a green sedan.

THURSDAY
STOLEN GIFT - 2:30 p.m., 7500 block of Northwest Mountain View Drive. A 53-year-old woman reported she put an envelope with a $25 gift card in her mailbox, but a neighbor found the envelope in a ditch. It was ripped open and the gift card missing. The neighbor also found incoming and outgoing mail from others in the neighborhood.
CAR ROLLS OVER - 10:55 a.m., near intersection of Sulphur Springs Road and Lewisburg Road. A 53-year-old woman and her 18-year-old daughter swerved to avoid a squirrel in the road. Their vehicle went into a ditch and rolled over. The two were taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center for possible neck injuries.
SATURDAY
BURGLARY - 11:00 a.m., 7200 block of Oak Creek Drive. Homeowners found a garage door window broken out and the door to the house kicked in. Missing were jewelry, Tickle-Me Elmo, Superman, Doodle Bear and a duffel bag.
