The Carson & Barnes Three-Ring Circus arrives in Corvallis today for a series of shows today.
Beginning at 10 a.m., elephants will help set up the circus tent at the Benton County Fairgrounds. The tent is the size of a football-field and seats up to 2,200 spectators.
Acts include the Uzbek Trio acrobatic act, Hula Hoop champions, a contortionist who puts himself in a plexiglass container no bigger than a suitcase, an aerial ballet with more than 14 people at the same time at the top of the tent, clowns and performing elephants.
There are two 120-minute shows, one at 4:30 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. The circus also features a petting zoo, and those who arrive 30 minutes before each show can ride ponies, elephants and camels.
