A glance at OSU graduates

They brought their caps and gowns and a sense of accomplishment.

And most brought cell phones, too.

Oregon State University graduates lined up at the Memorial Union Quad on Sunday, and prepared to walk down to Reser Stadium for commencement ceremonies.

Before they marched into the future, we quickly interviewed some about their plans and their memories of college.

Here's a glimpse at four lives, a random sampling of OSU on graduation day.

Nadia Bengali

Age: 23

Hometown: Corvallis

Major: Anthropology

and French

Future plans: "I'm taking a year off before I go to grad school. I'm hoping to work and get some experience and maybe travel, hopefully in Europe."

Favorite memory of OSU: "Being able to interact with such a diverse crowd. I think that's what I'll miss the most."

Kim Jaren

Age: 23

Hometown: Gladstone

Major: Human development and family science

Future plans: "I want to get my masters in social work, hopefully at Portland State. I want to work in a hospital as a social worker."

Favorite memory of OSU: "All the good times just going out with friends. After a long finals week, going out with everyone."

Joel Gibson

Age: 24

Hometown: Medford

Major: Liberal studies with a social studies emphasis

Future plans: "I'm looking to coach wrestling at Southern Oregon University. Trying to figure that out, actually."

Favorite memory of OSU: "Oh boy, there's lots of them. Probably wrestling in home duals against the University

of Oregon."

Emily Michl

Age: 24

Hometown: Albany

Major: General science, pre-nursing and physical therapy

Future plans: "I'm just going to start working and then I'm going to nursing school."

Favorite memory of OSU: "Just friends. Making friends."
