You can test drive a variety of fuel-cell autos during "Test Drive the Future," scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the corner of First Street and Monroe Avenue in downtown Corvallis.
The event will feature fuel-cell automobiles, and participants will get a chance to drive or ride in the vehicles. Also on hand will be members of the California Fuel Cell Partnership and engineers who work on the vehicles and provide the hydrogen for the fuel cells.
Fuel-cell vehicles potentially could provide the range, efficiency, rapid refueling and performance consumers expect with zero tailpipe emissions and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
"Test Drive the Future" is sponsored by the Downtown Corvallis Association.
