Here at the GT, we're big animal lovers. From cute, cuddly puppies to regal kitties to chickens who lay delicious eggs, we can't get enough.

While looking around the office at pictures of our beloved pets, we got to wondering whether owners and their animals resemble each other. Luckily, none of us has a Chinese Crested, since this breed of dog tends to do very well in ugliest pet competitions.

Do people and pets who spend enough time together eventually start to share certain physical characteristics? Or do people - consciously or unconsciously - choose pets who look like them?

Can you figure out which GT staffer owns which pet just by looking at these pictures?

The first reader to correctly match all nine people with their pets will receive a $10 gift certificate to Animal Crackers. The winner will also be pictured in an upcoming Buzz with his or her pet. If no one gets all nine pairs right, the person with the most correct matches at the end of the contest wins.
