Police are investigating whether a woman who robbed a Roseburg bank on Monday is the same culprit who robbed a Corvallis bank in December.
Just before 5 p.m. Dec. 2, a woman entered the Corvallis Key Bank, 1817 N.W. Ninth St., and gave a teller a note demanding money. The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the woman fled.
The Roseburg robbery on Monday, at a Washington Mutual Bank, was similar, and the description of the robber also was similar.
In the Dec. 2 robbery, Lt. Dave Henslee, public information officer for the Corvallis Police Department, said the woman was described as 5 feet 4 inches to
5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium to heavy build. She was wearing a dark cap with a light bill and dark zip-up coat with a red undershirt.
Henslee said she didn't show a weapon or imply she had one in a note she handed the teller.
The Corvallis Police Department is looking for tips from the public to help identify the suspect. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Corvallis Police Detective Tyson Poole at 766-6924.
