LEAD IN DRINKING WATER -- The city of Lebanon continues to have problems with lead in the drinking water at specific locations.

In 60 samples taken in January, 40 showed levels above the Environmental Protection Agency's accepted level of under 15 parts per billion.

The samples were taken from households that had been identified as being at risk from high levels of lead due to the plumbing.

As required by law, the city is offering tips on how to reduce household exposure to lead in drinking water.

For more information on the lead testing or for a brochure on how to reduce the risk of exposure, contact the city public works department at 451-7703.
