"Palestine: What was, What is and What is to Come" is the title of a presentation at noon March 29 at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. The speaker is Bill Mansour, retired professor of horticulture at Oregon State University, former Marine Corps officer and consultant in both the Middle East and states of the former Soviet Union.
Mansour will present an overview of the history of Palestine since 1947, describe conditions there since then and raise questions about what's to come. He was born and raised in Palestine and studied its history since emigrating to the U.S. in 1948.
The event is sponsored by the Linn-Benton DemoForum, and is free and open to the public. For information, contact Dick Johnston, 753-8321 or dnjohnst@msn.com.
