Family expo to feature train set

Clay's Trailer-n-Train Railroad will be featured at this weekend's Family Living Expo at Heritage Mall.

Clay and Arlene Crosman's creation includes thousands of tiny items, plus an estimated 125 feet of G-gauge track - the largest model railroad gauge - covering a surface area that is 24 feet long and 10 feet wide.

The Lebanon couple continually develops all aspects of the trailer's layout, so what people see one time will be somewhat different the next time. It includes a village farm, birdhouse and logging scene.

They take it to swap meets and parades. Last week, they set up the display for three days at Valley River Center in Eugene.

"Everything stays right on the trailer," Clay said.

During parades, he pulls the trailer with an all-terrain vehicle, which also powers the train.

The train will be running from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 11a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the mall.

Admission to the Family Living Expo is free. The event is sponsored by KGAL and KSHO Radio.
