A trio of local health care reformers will share their experiences on a cross-country trek to promote single-payer medical care during a forum at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan, 333 N.W. 35th St.

Corvallis physicians Paul Hochfeld and Mike Huntington and retired Oregon State University professor Joe Zaerr will discuss their trip with the "Mad As Hell Doctors."

The group traveled from Oregon to Washington, D.C., last month, stopping along the way to rally support for the idea of a government-sponsored plan to provide medical insurance to all Americans in a single giant risk pool.

Beverages will be provided at Thursday's forum, which is sponsored by Mid-Valley Health Care Advocates. Attendees are asked to bring finger food to share.
